Today is Arianna's 10th birthday. It is a very important birthday, this is the first year of her life that she is in the double digits, and this is also the first birthday that she has a family waiting for her. Even though we can't be with her we are thinking about her all of the time. I hope it is a good birthday for her.

Why not give Xiao Wen the name Wendy? At least she could keep part of her name and feel a connection to it. She's old enough that her name is part of her identity.
We have spent many months carefully choosing the name Arianna. We have many reasons for chosing this name, plus we like it. We are keeping Xiao Wen as part of her name and will call her by it as long as she wants us to. I hope this answers your question. Christy
